“I am proud of how independent I became, and of the broader perspective of the world I attained. If only everyone knew what an incredibly rewarding experience this is! Put your inhibitions aside and go!!!”

Christina Thelin, CBS, Fall 2004

The Copenhagen Business School (CBS) was established in 1917. Denmark is known for its rich diversity and strong ties to international business. CBS focuses on educating and training its students to be competitive in an international labor market. To assist students, CBS offers a Danish crash course before the beginning of the semester to provide students with enhanced knowledge of the Danish culture and language. Students are encouraged to participate in this 5-day course, which is included in their tuition.

Curriculum:
The experiences you encounter at the Copenhagen Business School will quite probably be new territory for you if you have never studied in Europe before arriving at CBS.

CBS is known throughout Europe and the world as one of the top management/business strategy, and Economic Theory programs in the world. They offer 40 – 50 advanced business courses each semester, in 8 different concentrations/areas, including courses in Management, Economics, Communication and Marketing. Students are required to complete 30 (ECTS) units by enrolling in 4 7.5-unit courses (equivalent to 15 USC units). The faculties are amongst the best and brightest of Europe, and have held positions with the World Bank, the European Commission, as well as executives with some of Europe’s top companies.

To assist students, CBS offers a Danish “crash course” before the beginning of the semester to provide students with enhanced knowledge of the Danish culture and language. Students are  strongly encouraged to participate in this 5-day course.

Housing:
CBS offers exchange students a myriad of housing options; from shared apartments, to residence halls to private housing. Costs vary from assignment to assignment, but are generally similar to housing costs in Los Angeles.

Housing in the city of Copenhagen is difficult to find, and therefore it is necessary for you to apply by the indicated deadlines and it is suggested that you apply as early as possible, as applications are processed in the order in which they are received.
