BCA Entertainment Practicum

The BCA Entertainment Practicum is a groundbreaking, immersive academic program that explores the global impact of the entertainment business. First, all students complete an internship in Los Angeles, exposing them to a hands-on industry environment. Then, students travel to London with a thriving film and television production sector. During the trip, students meet with producers and executives from top studios and talent agencies. The experience features opportunities for mentorship, cultural immersion, and instruction both in the classroom and out in the field. The practicum enables exploration of business practices and career paths in entertainment that exist at the global level, encouraging students to expand their horizons beyond the Hollywood studio system.

Course Goals

Networking

Obtain an internship in the entertainment industry and parlay the experience into networking opportunities, with colleagues, cohort peers, and faculty.

Immersion

Learn hands-on from international leaders how entertainment functions abroad, including how productions are made outside the United States.

Leadership

Illuminate and encourage students to take initiative and embrace international approach to leadership in the entertainment industry
