Abdul Eltoum

Abdul Eltoum, hailing from Manchester, England, is a rising junior studying Business Administration. After working in ESG in the Middle East, he developed a passion for corporate sustainability and is on a mission to learn all there is to know about it. Most recently, he has been working alongside the CEO of the Green Jobs Network to spread awareness and education about the clean energy sector among college students nationwide. On campus, Abdul serves as the Director of Capstone Research for the Marshall Energy Business Club, helping students with personal projects focused on renewable energy and environmental sustainability. He is also the Vice President of Finance-Elect for Peaks and Professors, an organization dedicated to connecting students and professors in the outdoors, where he aims to lower barriers to outdoor access through affordable pricing to help more Trojans get outside.

Anders Johnson

Anders Johnson is a USC public policy student invested in solving transportation and land-use challenges in the LA community. His passion lies at the intersection of sustainability and social equity, and he currently volunteers with local advocacy organizations while also working at USC alongside faculty and staff to support internal sustainability initiatives. He aims to advance housing and transportation policy solutions by engaging in policy research, visualizing urban sustainability challenges through maps and data, and engaging community stakeholders. On the weekends, you can find him hiking and camping across Southern California’s mountain ranges and forests.

Anjali Sehra

Anjali Sehra is a junior from Phoenix, Arizona, pursuing Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Environmental Studies. She is driven by her empathy, kindness, and compassion. Through her work with environmental nonprofit Earth Gives and her involvement with Arizona Representative Dr. Amish Shah in helping pass the Cat Anti-Declaw Bill through the Arizona House, she strengthened her continued interest in uplifting voices through legislation and public policy. She is excited to explore environmental epidemiology with Dr. Valter Longo, analyzing the cross between environmental health and longevity science. She represents USC as a competitive elite rock climber, and currently serves as the USA Climbing Collegiate Ambassador and Partnership Coordinator for the USC Climbing Team, reducing barriers to access and increasing accessibility for all to climbing. Anjali aspires to lead transformative sustainability initiatives that bridge social inequities and environmental responsibility.

Arial Pinion

Arial Pinion is 23 years old and recently transferred to USC from Texas. For her degree, she is getting a B.S. in Geodesign because she wants to help strengthen communities through sustainable development in the future. She is also planning to pursue a minor in Landscape Architecture because she is inspired by the natural environment. Since her youth, she has always had a passion for nature. She is proud to say that she has spent over a decade volunteering with Texas Parks and Wildlife to restore native grasslands, clean local coastlines, and engage with the public about environmental concerns.

Aviva Clauer

Aviva Clauer is a rising Junior with a current Undeclared Humanities major, soon to be declared in either Social Sciences, Annenberg, or SCA. She has spent the past year serving as an Environmental Student Assembly Executive Board member on the Public Relations team. As such, while she does not know yet what she wants to do as a career she is passionate about the environment and is committed to incorporating sustainability into whatever her career field may be.

Calvin Man

Calvin Man is a junior at USC pursuing a dual degree in Business Administration and Economics, with a minor in Communication Policy and Law. A quadrilingual speaker and licensed pilot from Toronto, Calvin brings a global perspective to sustainable finance and policy. As founder and president of the Marshall Energy Business Club, he helped organize USC’s inaugural Energy Business Summit and launched student-industry initiatives aligned with the university’s Business of Energy Transition Initiative. His experience spans investment banking, ESG research, and sustainable real estate development. At IG Wealth Management, he researched environmentally driven investments and led a student housing project near the University of Waterloo focused on long-term environmental planning. As a Hayes Barnard Sustainability Fellow, Calvin aims to drive responsible energy investment and advance climate solutions that balance energy security, affordability, and sustainability.

David Rios Palomares

David Rios Palomares is a sophomore at the University of Southern California pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies and Planning with a minor in American Studies and Ethnicity. He serves as the Community Engagement & Education Co-Director at ARCH Collaborative, leading initiatives to build community resilience against chronic disease and extreme weather. In this role, David works closely with stakeholders and partners to design and implement impactful programs. One of these efforts is the Community Climate Adaptation Program (CCAP) at MacArthur Park, scheduled for Summer 2025, in partnership with Los Angeles City Council District 1. The program will equip unhoused residents and other vulnerable community members with the tools and knowledge to mitigate the impacts of extreme heat and air pollution. Through his leadership, David is committed to advancing environmental justice and shaping equitable, inclusive, and resilient communities in the face of climate change.

Evie Offit

Evie Offit is a rising junior studying Law, History and Culture with a minor in Environmental Science from Greenwich, Connecticut. She has been passionate about sustainability since she was in middle school and is grateful that she has been given the opportunity to continue her passion here at USC. Evie is especially interested in environmental justice, and hopes to one day be an advocate for our world! Evie wants to incite meaningful change through sustainability that helps address the pressing global challenges we face.

Garrett Ordonez

Garrett Ordonez is an interdisciplinary environmental researcher committed to bridging science and policy to drive conservation action. Inspired by his early exposure to conservation and hands-on field experience, he now investigates cnidarian genomics to assess their resilience in a changing climate, in the CEE Lab, while pursuing a double major in environmental studies and international relations. Garrett aims to combine both disciplines and explore how international frameworks can enhance cross-border conservation efforts. As the founding president of Hike for Habitats, a student-led initiative rooted in collaboration and stewardship, he has cultivated a movement that brings together students, community organizations, and institutions in collective service. Garrett has partnered with the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, Sunshine Preserve, and Friends of the LA River while also leading habitat restoration efforts in response to the LA wildfires.

Georgina Glave

Georgina Glave is a Bachelor of Architecture student at the University of Southern California, originally from London, UK. Growing up amongst both iconic parks and polluted city blocks, she developed a deep interest in Sustainable Cities and Communities. She is interested in rethinking how cities are built, focusing on adaptive reuse and resilient design, rather than contributing to systems that leave communities and the environment behind.

James Landis

James Landis is a rising junior from Marin, CA, majoring in Economics with a minor in AI. He has a passion for renewable energy and improving supply chain and infrastructure sustainability. As an active member of USC’s Marshall Business of Energy Club, he is an integral part of the club's Capstone Research project, exploring the potential for brine, a byproduct of desalination plants, to support the EV industry. James is very interested in the intersection between sustainability and economics, eager to find ways to apply classroom knowledge to real-world energy problems.

Katherine Ramirez

Katherine Ramirez is a rising junior majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Public Policy. She plans to pursue a Master’s in Geographic Information Systems through USC’s progressive degree program. Katherine’s interests lie at the intersection of sustainability, environmental justice, and geospatial intelligence. Growing up in Compton, CA, Katherine developed a deep awareness of the environmental challenges underserved communities face, which she explored further through her work with the Go Green Initiative, addressing environmental racism and advocating for change in energy, water, and waste management. Currently, Katherine serves as the Director of External Engagement for the Environmental Student Assembly and as the Special Events Director for SC Mappers, where she explores how GIS can bridge her interests in policy, justice, and sustainability. She is also an Environmental Studies Student Representative, committed to fostering a strong community within the program. Katherine is excited to join a group of passionate students to learn, collaborate, and reimagine the future of sustainability.

Nickole Aguilar

Nickole Aguilar is a rising junior at the University of Southern California, majoring in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Environmental Policy, and minoring in Business. She serves as Director of Marketing for Global Brigades at Marshall, leading outreach to promote student engagement with the organization’s social impact mission. On campus, she expands the climate justice curriculum for South Los Angeles classrooms through the Teaching International Relations Program and supports research on climate policy, finance, and civil society as a research assistant to Dr. Shannon Gibson. She aims to deepen her understanding of international climate funding and accountability, and is eager to explore corporate ESG strategy and impact investing. Nickole is committed to advancing accessible, data-driven solutions that create long-term environmental impact in business sectors.

Remedios Abrica Pantoja

Remedios Abrica Pantoja is currently a sophomore pursuing an environmental studies degree. She is an aspiring environmentalist with experience in quantitative ecological research and building the future of the sustainability workforce. Presently at USC, she is an undergraduate researcher at the Trash Lab and a Fisher Fellow. She aims to combine her background in sustainability with her passion to uplift my community in order to create an environmentally just world.
