Hey everyone! My name is Uzo Onyejiaka and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I’ll be graduating with the class of 2015 with a degree in business administration and a minor in Spanish. In addition to serving as a part of the MCP Peer Advisory Board, I have participated in a variety of organizations such as the Hospitality Industry Project, Gates Millennium Ambassadors, and Joint Education Project. I’m also exited to begin my role as an IEP Host through Marshall’s International Exchange Program. One of my life goals is to travel to all seven continents and learn about each distinct culture. At the beginning of my freshman year I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Global Leadership Program. As a part of the program, I was able to travel to Shanghai, China for ten days during spring break. During my travels I spoke to corporate leaders and learned about the vibrant Chinese culture. I also love to cook and try new restaurants. I love food so much that one day I hope to work in the hospitality industry and possibly become the owner of my very own restaurant! After eating a ton of food, I like to remain active. I enjoy running, having “playtime” outdoors, and doing just about anything that will increase my heart rate! I look forward to welcoming you to the Trojan Family! Fight On! onyejiak@usc.edu |

Hey guys! I’m Ari Rezazadeh, Business Administration major, Class of 2013, here at USC Marshall. Originally, I’m from Pasadena, California. I have truly enjoyed immersing myself in a myriad of activities at USC. I have had the privilege of travelling to Panama over Spring Break with Global Business Brigades, as well as to Botswana with the Marshall International ExCEL Program. More locally, I am a part of Phi Beta Lambda, Net Impact, USG Alumni Affairs, Marshall Outreach and Volunteer Entrepreneurs (MOVE), and the Entrepreneur Club. Just this past year, I also co-founded an organization on campus by the name of USC IBA (Interdisciplinary Business Association) with the mission of creating a place for students of different disciplines and passions to collaborate. This year, I will also be an IEP host once again. My philosophy is that there’s a lot more to USC and Marshall than the classroom. Don’t be afraid to engage yourself in a variety of activities and to refine your interests. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, big or small. Welcome to the Trojan Family, and Fight On! rezazade@usc.edu |

Hello! My name is Shireen Jaffer and I am a student at the Marshall School of Business, Class of 2015. Although I am from Northern California (Palo Alto, to be exact) and never thought I would become a traitor and move to SoCal, I could not resist the charms of USC. I am genuinely proud to be part of the Trojan family; USC has exposed me to opportunities I did not know existed and has aided immensely in my personal and professional development. Currently, I am involved in a variety of organizations, such as USC’s Women and Youth Supporting Each Other and Marshall Women’s Leadership Board. I am also an aspiring entrepreneur and truly appreciate all the support I have received from my fellow peers as well as from professors and mentors. I cannot believe how fast my first year at USC passed by and how much it contributed to my growth. I know that the next three years will fly by just as fast so I hope to take as much advantage as possible of USC’s incredible programs and opportunities. sjaffer@usc.edu |

Hello, my name is Danielle Francisco. I am a Business Administration major and have just finished my first year at USC as a transfer student from Glendale City College. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and transition and got involved with the Career Advantage Program and Marshall and Beyond Planning Committee. Due to my positive experience, I wanted to be a part of the Peer Advisory Board to make sure first year students could have the same experience with the right guidance! Hi everyone! My name is Dennis Huang and I am a sophomore majoring in Business Administration and Accounting. I also have a minor in cinematic arts, which I have a strong passion for as well. Last year I joined International Students’ Assembly, and this year I will continue as the Director of Programming for the assembly. I was also a member of the USC Fencing Club during freshman year, and a member of Special Events Committee and UNICEF for the first semester. Since last October, I have been volunteering at California Science Center, which is just across the street from Gate 1, and I strongly recommend you all to pay a visit because you will find so many fascinating things there. During spring semester of my freshman year I also volunteered at Central American Resource Center through USC’s Joint Education Program. I also participated in two business related trips during spring. The first one is Global Microfinance Brigades at Honduras during Spring Break, where I helped the local bank expand its business and help the people there become financially literate. The second one is Learning International Commerce through Marshall last May. They were extremely fun and unforgettable and I would love to tell you about them, as well as my experience as an international student. I’m looking forward to this year and can’t wait to learn about your stories. Fight on! helinhua@usc.edu |
